Notice of the public hearing was posted in three public places in the City of Weeping Water on December 10, 2003. Copies of said notice were also delivered or mailed in advance of the hearing to all property owners affected by the proposed “Downtown Revitalization Project.”

Representatives of Olsson Associates provided open stations for participants to visit informally, which included the timeline and project history, parking opportunities and designs, access during construction, project time frame and tentative construction plan, truck and other vehicle routing, ideas for aesthetics, enhancement and economic development, and continued citizen involvement. Following a brief presentation of the proposed project, time was allowed for a question/answer session, and forms were distributed to allow participants to provide written feedback for future consideration, after which the Mayor closed the public hearing.
