CITY OF WEEPING WATER
MAY 17, 2010
The Weeping Water City Council met in special session at 9:30 a.m. on May 17, 2010 at City Hall for the purpose of acting on bids received for the purchase of city property described as the East 1/3 of Lot 2, Block 70, Original Town, Weeping Water, Cass County, Nebraska, which has been declared as excess property.
Mayor Howard Stubbendieck called the special meeting to order, with the following members of the Council answering roll: Bob McCaulley, Ray Frew, Melody Falcone and Mitch Miller. Absent: None. The posted location of the Open Meeting Act was noted by the Mayor. Notice of the meeting was given in advance by posting in three public places in the City on May 11, 2010.
Following review of the sole bid received for the aforementioned property, a motion was made by McCaulley, seconded by Miller to accept the bid of Diane L. Wade in the amount of $35,010.00. Motion carried unanimously.
Following the suggestion to address revision of the Campground Regulations, a motion was made by Frew, seconded by Falcone to table the subject until the June City Council meeting to allow adequate time for the City Lake Committee to respond to the issues at large. Motion carried unanimously.
Melody Falcone submitted a letter of resignation as a member of the City Council, to become effective at the close of the meeting. It was agreed to publish and post the appropriate notice of the vacancy on the City Council, as a result of said resignation, with the appointment of a new City Council member to be considered at the June 14, 2010 meeting.
There being no further business, a motion was made by Falcone, seconded by Miller to adjourn at 9:35 a.m.
