Weeping Water Nebraska

Happy New Year!  We are certainly off to a bitter cold one, but at least we haven't gotten alot of snow.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Savannah Robertson.

She was an amazing girl with a beautiful voice and will be missed greatly.

Don't forget to come into the city office and license your UTV/ATV for the 2014 calendar year.  You will need to bring your drivers license and proof of insurance along with a $25 registration fee.  Office hours are 8-4, Monday-Friday. Call 402-267-5152 with any questions.

Pet licenses are not due until May 1, 2014 but you can come into the office anytime before then to renew. There is a $7 per pet licensing fee. The annual pet clinic will be held in April.  The date will be announced as soon as it becomes available.

Please be sure you are only putting recycling in your blue recycling container.  Cass County Refuse has seen garbage being put into these containers, and they will not pick it up unless its recycling only.  If you need a sticker with a list of items that can be recycled, please come into the city office and pick one up.

Now that winter is here, please be sure to keep vehicles off the streets as much as possbile during and after snowfall so that our city maintenance crew can get the streets cleared.  Also, sidewalks must be cleared within 24 hours after the cessation of snow.
