The pool will be closing for the season August 17th.

Hours for the pool during the fair are:

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - August 6, 7 & 8 - pool will close at 6pm.

Saturday, August 9th the pool will be closed.

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday - August 12, 13 & 14 - the pool will close at 6pm

Friday - August 15th - the pool will be closed.

Saturday & Sunday - August 16 & 17 - the pool will close at 6pm.



Saturday, August 9th, the pool pool Weeping Water Community Night during the Storm Chasers game at Werner Park is this Thursday night, July 31st.

Senior meals are available at the Hopper Community Center, 101 W Eldora Ave., Suite 3, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  Call Ruth Vogt at 402-267-5303 to order a meal or schedule a delivery.

Keep Cass County Beautiful will be having a recycling event at their booth in the Expo Building at the Cass County Fair.  Everyone who brings us rechargeable batteries and cell phones will receive an earth-friendly reusable grocery bag.

The Old Avoca Schoolhouse, in Avoca, Nebraska, is offering a TWIN FIDDLE WORKSHOP, on Saturday, August 2, from 10am - 12 noon, in the Old Avoca Schoolhouse.  The workshop, led by championship fiddler and author, Deborah Greenblatt, is perfect for fiddlers who want to learn to play duets with other fiddlers.  Students of all ages will learn how to construct their own harmony parts by ear, and by writing the notes down in standard notation.  Tunes will range in difficulty from easy to intermediate. Fiddle tunes from many traditions will be explored, including Irish, Swedish, Klezmer, Cajun, Scottish etc.  Enrollment is limited to 10 fiddlers, and pre-registration is required.  To sign up, or to ask questions, email This email address is being protected from spambots.
