TO ALL UTV/ATV OWNERS

2015 registration tags are now available at the city office.  Please stop by to register your vehicle for the new calendar year.  There is a $25 fee and we will need a copy of a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.  The office is open from 8am-4pm Monday-Friday.

The public is invited to attend the Chamber of Commerce Holiday Banquet on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Gibson Hall.  Social time starts at 6:30pm followed by a meal at 7:00pm provided by Slattery Vintage Estates.  Tickets will be available at Grandpa Snazzys, Uptons Market and the City office.  $6 per ticket or 2 for $10.  There will also be a cash bar.

Awards will be announced for Community Service, Business of the Year and Business Person of the Year.  To vote, fill out the form and return no later then Monday, January 12th.

Fiddle Camps in Nebraska

Registration is now open for the 2015 Schoolhouse Fiddle Camps, in the Old Avoca Schoolhouse, in Avoca, Nebraska.  Deborah Greenblatt, championship fiddler, author of many fiddle collections, will help the campers get in touch with their inner fiddler.  the course of study during the Schoolhouse Fiddle Camps will be designed specifically for the individual campers who sign up.

The June Camp (Monday, June 15 - Friday, June 19) is for folks who consider themselves beginners.  The July Camp (Monday, July 13 - Friday, July 17) is for folks who consider themselves intermediate or advanced.  Enrollment is limited to 10 fiddlers for each week, so that everyone will get individual attention.

The Lofte Community Theatre is excited to announce that they are participating in a fund-matching program with the Midlands Community Foundation.  For the month of December through January 5, 2015, all donations given to the Lofte community Theatre in Manley will be matched up to $5,000 per donor by the Midlands Community Foundation.  Gifts above $5,000 will receive a pro-rated match from the organization.

The Midlands Community Foundation is focused on assisting with improving the quality of life in both Cass and Sarpy counties.  They have been working towards this goal since 1984 and since that time have awarded over $7 million in community grants.

Donations can be made to the Lofte through the 'Donate Online' button on their website, Lofte.com.  Donations may also be made by check or cash directly through the Lofte box office.  Those with questions may contact the Lofte box office at 402-234-2553.
