Weeping Water Nebraska

The next pick up of recycling products will be Wednesday, October 7, 2015 and every other Wedneday after that.  This is for residential recycling ONLY.  Regular garbage pick up will remain the same, every Tuesday.  If you have extra recycling products in between pick up dates, recycling carts are available at the city shop.

 Job Opening:

St. Johns Catholic School is looking for a Custodian - hours are Monday thru Friday - option to work either 8-4 or 10-6.  $10 an hour.  Includes insurance.  Contact Linda at 402-296-6230.

This is additional request for volunteers to help with the Repair project for Weeping Water and the 2 homes there that have been approved for the project.

Unfortunately,  we were unable to proceed with the project this past Saturday due to a lack of volunteers.   Since the mornings are cooler, we will be working on the 17th from 9:00 am to 3:00 p.m.   We invite all volunteers to meet at the Hopper Community Center at 101 W Eldora at 8:30 for coffee and rolls and a briefing on the project for the day.   We still need 12 to 15 volunteers, even if someone can only come help for a few hours, it is greatly appreciated!

·        One home is sided but needs painting done to the two stall garage, trim on the windows (3 stories high) and the front porch repainted, ceiling, pillars, and trim.   This home also needs some work done to the back door frame of the home and cellar doors replaced.  This home has 3 ladders, one will reach the 3rd story.

·        One home is currently being worked on by a group of shop students at the Weeping Water school.    The amount of work to be done on the 17th will be determined on what they have completed by then.

We really need a few volunteers who are willing to paint two story houses using ladders.    We will have access to a paint sprayer for those who have knowledge in using one.

Thank you for sharing this need with members of your congregations, local groups and organizations and the Weeping Water community.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you.
