25th Anniversary Commemoration Schedule

• 7:00 AM: Memorial plaza opens for 9/11 family members access (restricted from the general public during the morning program).

• 8:30 AM / 8:40 AM: Official remembrance program begins with the reading of names.

• 8:46 AM: First moment of silence (the first of seven total moments observed throughout the commemoration, including a new seventh moment dedicated to those who have died from 9/11-related illnesses).

• Afternoon: Memorial plaza reopens to the general public (exact time announced locally).

• Dusk to Dawn: Tribute in Light installation illuminates the New York City skyline from sunset on September 11 until sunrise on September 12.
